Softwood: Pressure tested to BS8417:2003 standards to provide long term protection against fungi and pests. Hardwood: Slightly stronger than softwood so less breakages likely.
Both options offer a range of lengths and diameters to suit all shelter sizes and site conditions. Unless stated, all stakes are four pointed for ease of installation and are bundled in easy-to-carry quantities.
NB: Stakes are natural products subject to natural variability; please allow for this when ordering by anticipating a small quantity of breakages, particularly with the smaller sizes.
Stakes should be inserted at least 30cm in the ground; ensure top of stake is below rim of shelter to avoid tree abrasions; on windy sites select larger diameter for improved stability; when planting into lighter/cultivated soils, consider a longer stake for improved stability.
