Woven Weed Control Tree Mulch Mat Spats are designed to reduce the weed and grass growth around the base of a newly planted tree when undertaking tree planting projects, to help give the tree a good supply of water and nutrients during its early years, as it establishes itself. The Woven Polypropylene Weed Mats are manufactured from water permeable, UV degradable fabric, with a slit from the centre for easy installation. The Woven Polypropylene Weed mats suppress weed growth around the base of the tree, limiting competition for water and nutrients between the trees and weeds. The Woven Polypropylene Weed mats are effective for approximately 5 seasons. The Woven Polypropylene Weed mats can be secured using our Plastic Barbed pegs.
